Biography
Patrick Mutzenberg holds a PhD in Human Rights from the Faculty of Law of the University of Grenoble (France).
He is the founder and former Director (2008–2025) of the Centre for Civil and Political Rights (CCPR Centre), an NGO dedicated to strengthening civil society engagement with the Human Rights Committee, the treaty body responsible for monitoring the implementation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR).
From 2009 to 2025, he served as a lay judge at the Criminal Tribunal of Geneva. Elected in 2025, he currently serves as a member of the Executive Council (Conseil administratif) of the City of Carouge.
